Mastering Negative Painting

In this 1 hour and 36 minute video, Sterling Edwards explains the concept of negative painting and illustrates and easy exercise that walks you through the process of creating negative shapes and stacking negative shapes to add depth and dimension to your paintings. Negative Painting is often feared by many artists because they do not understand how to visualize negative shapes and incorpoarate them into their paintings. As Sterling has often said,
